Jurassic World

Release Date: June 12, 2015

It’s been 21 years since Stephen Spielberg’s dinosaurs crashed onto the big screen and 13 years since the last installment. Now we will finally have another chance to see the T-Rex in action. Next year, Jurassic World will be hitting theaters and I, for one, can’t wait.

The script will be set 22 years after the events of the first movie on Isla Nublar, the same island from Jurassic Park. This Brochure shows that the original park is back open and ready for more tourists to be eaten.

Jurassic World will be directed by Colin Trevorrow. He and co-writer Derek Connoly wrote the script, but this isn’t their first venture. Safety Not Guaranteed was written by Connoly and directed by Trevorrow. In a recent interview, Trevorrow stated that the movie will be filmed with sequels in mind, and also, that the fabulous dinosaur anamatronics will be featured. He also tweeted this new poster from ComicCon.

Spielberg will of course be producing, and hopefully brining the same aesthetic that made the first movie so successful.

Chris_PrattChris Pratt is set to star in this new installment. He has burst into movie stardom with two huge roles, The Lego movie, and Guardians of the Galaxy. His meteoric rise will no doubt continue with Jurrassic World.

Jurassic World CastOmar Sy (Xmen: Days of Future Past, The Intouchables) Vincent D’Onifrio (MIB, Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Help, The Village), Judy Greer (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Arrested Development), Lauren Lapkus (Orange is the New Black, Blended), and Jake Johnson (New Girl, 21 Jump Street) are also reported to be in the cast.

TRexThere’s a lot of hype around this film, and why wouldn’t there be? Giant lizards wreaking havok on unsuspecting tourists who really should know better, while completely trashing a theme park that is way too poorly designed to hold such creatures is just pure entertainment.
